A few things before you install.

Which Macs are supported?

Currently macOS 27 on Apple Silicon. Open the DMG, drag FoldBar to Applications, then launch it. This is an early release; multi-display and full-screen behavior need further testing.

What permissions are required?

Accessibility access is needed to discover icons and open their original menus. Grant access in System Settings, then click “Check Again”. Screen Recording permission is not required.

Can I fold system icons too?

System items are read-only. Multiple icons from one app fold together. The current engine uses private macOS 27 interfaces and may be affected by system updates; some system extras may also be hidden. A fallback F button appears near the top right if macOS hides the native entry.

Does FoldBar upload my data?

The app does not upload icons or usage records. There are no accounts or telemetry. Preferences stay on your Mac. This website has no analytics scripts; the hosting provider may process essential access logs.
